My Paddle Clean and Bright

Ah, the wonder and joy of it! To be off on the water, quietly stroking my paddle blade through the calm water. Fish nibble by the shoreline. Gentle waves brought by the soft summer wind barely rock my canoe. There, a heron stands amidst the broken branches. Here, a turtle basks on a floating log. See the swans smoothly cross the water. A dog jumps in for a ball, and barks, his sound echoing over the water. Yellow and white water lily flowers abound. Their leaves gently sway in the current of water and wind. I paddle ’round them keeping away from their long stems. The sky is clear with wisps of clouds far overhead. I am at peace and the world is good. The world is beautiful.
